When most people think about a Disney wedding, they picture saying “I do” in front of Cinderella Castle – and assume it must cost hundreds of thousands dollars. While that’s certainly an option (and definitely the priciest one), it’s far from the only one! In reality, Walt Disney World offers 30+ different wedding venues, ranging from lush gardens to grand ballrooms and even spots inside the theme parks. Some locations are ceremony-only, while others allow for both a ceremony and reception – and they all vary in price.
In the spirit of Tulle Together’s Wedding Pricing Transparency Project, we’re breaking down some of the most common Disney World wedding costs, including venue pricing tiers, food & beverage pricing, and how the minimum spend works. We’ll also calculate some example scenarios of Disney Wedding costs using Tulle’s Venue Calculator tool!

Food & Beverage Costs: What You Need to Know
Before we get into the pricing tiers, let’s talk about catering. This is a major part of your Disney wedding budget if you have the reception at Disney in addition to the ceremony, and the costs and vary depending on your event time.
These are the per person costs for each reception location, unless otherwise noted. For exact prices of each reception location, reach out to Disney Weddings directly, as certain meal times have a required minimum per person required for service.
- Brunch: $140 per person
- Lunch: $180 per person
- Dinner: $240 per person
In addition to these costs, service fees (26%) and sales tax (6.5%) apply, adding an extra cost that isn’t included in the base per-person pricing – those fees also aren’t included in the minimum required spend. Since food & beverage can be a large portion of the required minimum spend, the guest count and meal choices significantly affect your overall cost.
Disney Pricing Tiers: How it differs from typical wedding venues
One of the biggest differences between a Disney wedding and other venues is that Disney requires you to book all major wedding services—catering, floral, décor, entertainment, experiences, and more—directly through them. This means that your “minimum spend” requirement isn’t just about the venue rental; it includes everything you book with Disney.
This is important when you consider which of the Disney ceremony locations you might want to get married at, as there are different minimum spend tiers across location types. So let’s take a look at the minimum spend and the types of spaces you can get for it.
Minimum spend range: $15,000 – $19,000
The locations included in this lower tier range typically include ceremony & reception spots at Disney resorts, and not in the park itself. Each venue fee in this tier is $7,000. Some of these locations are also ceremony only, so you would also need to find a different space for the reception at Disney World. If you book a Disney Wedding, you would work with them to find an additional reception space, and your minimum spend would be able to go toward food & beverage, as well as things like musicians, decor, photographers, etc.). These would be a good option if you want to keep budget in mind, but still enjoy a Disney vacation with family and friends!
Example locations:
- Casitas Courtyard
- Crescent Cove
- Destino Plaza
- Oak Manor (Ceremony only)
If you wanted to host your wedding here and meet the minimum, what would that look like? Here’s a quick calculation for Destino Plaza for a lunchtime wedding using Tulle Together’s Venue Calculator.

For 75 guests, you would surpass the minimum required spend required here!
Minimum spend range: $18,000 – $20,000
The next tier of locations will get you inside a park – but most are ceremony only locations. As mentioned, you would also need to find a different space for the reception at Disney World which might take place at a different time from the ceremony. If you book a Disney Wedding, you would work with them to find an additional reception space, and your minimum spend would be able to go toward food & beverage, as well as things like musicians, decor, photographers, etc.). Even with shuffling around from your ceremony to a different reception space, it’s a cool way to get married in some iconic Disney locations at the EPCOT world showcase, including:
- The Germany Courtyard (Ceremony only)
- Italy Plaza (Ceremony only)
- Japan Courtyard Bonsai Promenade (Ceremony only)
- Terrace Des Fleurs
- Italy Isola
All of these spots have a venue fee of $7,500. With these prices in mind, if you picked a spot that allows you to have the reception (like the Italy Isola) you could host an intimate reception there for 50 guests for about $27,000; for 100 guests, $42,000.

Minimum spend range: $20,000 – $25,000
The next tier of spots include some of the most iconic ones at Disney World, aside from Cinderella Castle. While nearly all of these spots are ceremony only (so you would need to work with Disney to find the alternate reception spot), they include:
- EPCOT World Plaza (Ceremony only)
- Tower of Terror (Ceremony only)
- Tree of Life (Ceremony only)
- Pandora – The World of Avatar (Ceremony only)
- World Celebration Gardens
The venue fee for this tier is $9,500, so if you choose one of the ceremony only spots, be prepared to make up the minimum using other services for both the ceremony and reception such as food & beverage, florals, musicians, decor, or Disney transportation (which is required to get guests into the park). If you’re interested in hosting your reception at the World Celebration Gardens in EPCOT, you would be able to meet the minimum spend with a guest count of 75 people (that would cost around $34,500 including taxes and fees).
Minimum spend range: $18,000 – $35,000
The only venue listed in this tier is Disney’s Wedding Pavilion at the Grand Floridian: One of the most iconic Disney wedding venues, offering an indoor, air-conditioned chapel with breathtaking views of Cinderella Castle through its arched windows. While the venue provides a storybook setting, it is ceremony-only, meaning couples must book a separate reception space—either at the Grand Floridian or another Disney venue – and achieve this minimum spend through Disney services after paying the venue rental fee of $8,000.
Minimum spend range: $30,000 – $100,000
There are 3 locations on Disney’s Wedding website listed with these price tiers:
- Magic Kingdom Train Station (Ceremony Only; $20,000 venue rental fee)
- Magic Kingdom East Plaza (Ceremony Only; $30,000 venue rental fee)
- Magic Kingdom After Hours ($40,000 venue rental fee; Minimum spend will be $100,000).
Let’s assume you want to get married in Magic Kingdom After Hours, and that the minimum spend is $100,000. How many guests might you need, and how much would you have left over to put toward florals & decor, transportation, entertainment, photographers, and other extras?
If you had 150 guests (the venue can accommodate up to 300) you would reach $76,000 – leaving $24,000 to be fulfilled by all of Disney’s other various services. Given that you would want a photographer, stunning florals, transportation (like Cinderella’s carriage!), it wouldn’t be too difficult to reach the minimum spend with 150 guests. Keep in mind that if you decrease the guest count, you could have more luxe florals and fun extras to reach the minimum, or you could have more guests and scale back on the guest count.

Once you reach the top end of the minimum spend, keep in mind you would have to pay taxes and fees. So if you have to fulfill $100,00 in spending, your total would be at least $132,500.

Can you afford a Disney Wedding?
The answer depends on your budget, guest count, and flexibility—but a Disney wedding might be more attainable than you think. With minimum spends ranging from $15,000 to $100,000+, there are options for everything from intimate elopements to extravagant in-park celebrations.
While Disney weddings have unique pricing structures, they aren’t necessarily more expensive than traditional weddings in high-cost cities like New York, Los Angeles, or Chicago—especially when you consider that Disney venues include essential services like catering, floral, and entertainment, which can add up quickly at other venues.
Ultimately, the only way to know the true cost of a Disney wedding is to reach out to Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings team for a personalized estimate based on your vision, date, and guest count. With some flexibility—such as choosing a weekday morning ceremony or a non-park venue—many couples find ways to make a Disney wedding work within their budget.
If saying “I do” with a touch of Disney magic is your dream, it’s worth exploring your options—because it might be more possible than you think.
