How Much Does it Cost to Get Married at The Bowery Hotel?

Located in Manhattan on the border of East Village and the Lower East Side, The Bowery Hotel is an effortlessly stylish wedding venue that blends old-world charm with modern sophistication. Known for its warm ambiance, exposed brick walls, and vintage furnishings, this sought after venue offers an intimate, moody, and elegant setting for couples looking to host a classic New York wedding. With its working fireplace, plush seating, and candlelit atmosphere, the space feels more like a luxurious private residence than a traditional event venue.

However, this kind of vibe comes at a price. Weddings at The Bowery Hotel require a minimum spend of $90,000 before tax for guest counts under 125. For high-demand months like May, June, September, and October, the minimum jumps to $100,000. This spending threshold includes food, beverage, venue rental, and additional fees. This does not include extra decor, including the candles and florals you often see in photos.

So what guest count or food upgrades could get you to that minimum spend? Let’s dig deeper into how much it would cost to get married The Bowery Hotel.

Overall Cost Estimate

Let’s start with some total numbers before breaking down each fee individually. We combed through all the pricing details in the PDF to put together some high level quotes using Tulle’s Venue Calculator tool. This tool allows you to put in the most common elements of venue pricing PDFs to figure out the actual total without having to build a complex spreadsheet.

$97,009 for 123 guests

It’s difficult to meet the minimum spend with less guests. For 100 guests, even with having the ceremony onsite for an extra $20 per person, a $25pp pasta course upgrade, a $10pp main course upgrade, a $5pp first course upgrade, you’re still at only $82,372. If you drop your guest count below 100, the meal cost becomes $425 a person instead of $400. But at 99 guests with all those upgrades, you’re still at only $85,000 (and this includes tax.

In order to achieve the minimum spend, you need to keep all those food upgrades and have at least 123 guests, as the minimum spend is BEFORE tax.

With tax, this becomes $97,009.96 for 123 people.

$91,420 for 126 guests

The Bowery Hotel Pricing PDF says that bookings under 125 guests must meet the $90,000 minimum before tax. If you have more than 125 guests, it appears from their pricing PDF (which you can access by logging into TulleTogether.com and searching for this venue in Transparency Project) that you don’t necessarily need to meet that minimum.

With no food upgrades and an extra $20 fee to have the ceremony onsite, the Bowery Hotel will cost $91,420 for 126 guests. They may fix this loophole at some point, but if you want to get more bang for you buck, you can ensure you exceed 125 guests!

$107,345 for 155 guests

In peak months, you need to achieve a $100,000 minimum spend before tax. With no food upgrades and an extra $20 fee to have the ceremony onsite, the Bowery Hotel will cost $104,600 for 150 guests.

With tax applied, this is $107,345 for 155 guests. If you have less guests, you will need to upgrade your food. There aren’t enough upgrades to make up a significant amount of spend, so you would be better off adding more guests to meet the minimum spend.

If you want to get married at the Bowery Hotel, you should plan to have a guest count of at least 125-150 people in order to meet the minimum spend, as food upgrades can only get you so close to the minimum spend.
