How Much Does It Cost to Get Married at Miami Beach Botanical Garden?

Tucked into the heart of South Beach, the Miami Beach Botanical Garden is a lush, tropical oasis that offers couples a serene and green escape from the city’s fast-paced energy. With towering palms, winding stone paths, koi ponds, orchids, and intimate lawns, the garden combines nature and elegance in the middle of Miami’s vibrant Art Deco district.

The venue spans 3 beautifully landscaped acres and features both indoor and outdoor event spaces, giving couples flexibility for ceremony and reception flow. Whether you’re envisioning a sunset garden ceremony followed by dinner under the stars, or a more traditional ballroom setup, this venue delivers a vibrant mix of spaces.

But what does it actually cost to get married here? The Tulle Together Wedding Pricing Transparency Project is on a mission to collect all of the pricing PDFs for wedding venues across the country. All of the PDFs in our database – 4,000 total and more than 400 in Florida – are contributed by other couples planning their weddings. That means we can walk through the venue costs for you – without you having to email them. Below, we’ve broken down everything in the pricing PDF submitted by a couple to help you figure out whether Miami Beach Botanical Garden fits your budget and your vision.

Ceremony & Reception Costs at Miami Beach Botanical Garden

One of the standout features of the Miami Beach Botanical Garden is its flexible layout. With a mix of outdoor lawns, indoor rooms, shaded terraces, and lush courtyards, couples can customize the flow of their wedding day to fit their guest count, timeline, and style—whether it’s an elegant garden party, a tropical dinner under the stars, or a hybrid indoor-outdoor celebration.

Here’s a closer look at the main venue spaces within the Garden:

  • 🌺 Great Lawn
This expansive open-air lawn is ideal for larger celebrations. It can host up to 300 seated guests with tables or more than 400 for a standing cocktail-style reception or ceremony. It’s the Garden’s most flexible outdoor option, often used for either the main ceremony, reception dinner, or both. Surrounded by palm trees and lush landscaping, the space can be tented for weather coverage and transformed with lighting and rentals.
  • 🏛️ Banyan Ballroom + Covered Terrace
This indoor/outdoor combo offers a polished event experience with plenty of flexibility. The Banyan Ballroom features lofted ceilings, stone tile floors, and oversized glass doors that open directly onto the Covered Terrace—a shaded 25’ x 50’ area ideal for cocktails or al fresco dining. Just beyond lies the Banyan Lawn, creating a seamless flow from indoors to outdoors. This setup works well for ceremonies followed by an indoor dinner or dancing.
    • Banyan Ballroom: Seats up to 80 at tables.
    • Covered Terrace: Often used for lounge areas, buffets, or dinner stations.
    • Banyan Lawn: Accommodates 150–260 seated guests at tables.
  • 🌳 Gumbo Limbo Courtyard
Tucked away off the ballroom path, this hidden gem is perfect for a cocktail hour, first look, or intimate ceremony. With space for 50 seated guests or 200+ standing, it’s often used as a gathering point before transitioning into a larger reception area. The courtyard is shaded by trees and surrounded by tropical foliage—great for sunset mingling or acoustic music moments.
  • 🦋 Butterfly Gallery
This light-filled indoor room (15′ x 30′) is typically used as a prep space, VIP holding area, or for micro-ceremonies and small events. It has some built-in A/V capability and works well as a quiet place for getting ready or staging vendors.

Full-Garden Buyout

For weddings that want privacy, multiple event zones, and flexibility, most couples opt for the Entire Garden Rental, which includes:

  • All outdoor lawns (Great Lawn, Banyan Lawn, Courtyards)
  • Banyan Ballroom and Covered Terrace
  • Butterfly Gallery
  • Full access for guests across the garden space

This option allows for smooth transitions between ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing—without flipping any spaces—and ensures exclusive access to the Garden for the duration of your event.

Whether you’re planning a large black-tie affair or an intimate tropical gathering, the Miami Beach Botanical Garden offers a thoughtful blend of beauty and functionality that can be tailored to your unique wedding vision.

How much could your total wedding cost be if you got married at Miami Beach Botanical Garden?

When you factor in everything — from venue fees to vendor costs — Tulle Together’s Cost Forecast Tool projects that the total budget of a wedding at Miami Beach Botanical Garden could land around $112,000, depending on your guest count (this estimates 150 guests on a peak-season Saturday), design scope, and other vendor selections. This estimate factors in a range of typical wedding expenses beyond the venue & assumes area specific average catering costs, helping couples get a realistic view of what their wedding might actually cost before making any commitments. Of course, someone could spend more or less than this (especially if you go with off-season pricing and less guests!) – but it’s an average estimate for what that total wedding cost could look like.
