Getting Married in front of Cinderella Castle: How Much Does it Cost?

There are technically 3 locations that would allow you to get married at Magic Kingdom, and two of them that would put you in view of Cinderella Castle. The Magic Kingdom Train Station (which is not quite in front of the Castle, but near Main Street) has a ceremony fee of $20,000, and a minimum spend of $30,000 – $35,000.

If you want to get married in front of the castle with a ‘less expensive’ option, you could opt to get married in the Magic Kingdom East Plaza, which has these fees:

  • Magic Kingdom East Plaza: $50,000 minimum spend Friday – Sunday
    • $45,000 minimum spend Monday – Thursday
    • $30,000 venue rental fee

It’s important to note that this location is ceremony only, so your reception would need to be held elsewhere (and not in front of the castle).

Let’s assume you want to the full experience of getting married in Magic Kingdom After Hours, directly in front of Cinderella Castle. These are the fixed costs for getting married in front of Cinderella Castle:

  • Magic Kingdom After Hours: $100,000 minimum spend
    • $40,000 venue rental fee
    • The After Hours booking is only available January – April

Getting married through the After Hours booking is the best way to get the perfect spot in front of Cinderella’s Castle. The $100,000 minimum spend is a hefty price tag, but you can meet that minimum through the combination of the venue fee, food & beverage, and other Disney services like decor, photographer, and entertainment.

So what does that minimum spend look like broken out: How many guests might you need, and how much would you have left over to put toward florals & decor, transportation, entertainment, photographers, and other extras? Let’s break it down on Tulle Together’s Venue Calculator to see how you might achieve this minimum spend.

Food & Beverage Costs: What You Need to Know

Before we get into the calculator, a note about catering.

These are the per person costs for each reception location, including the Magic Kingdom rentals, unless otherwise noted. For the purposes of our pricing calculator, we’ll assume this will be the dinner cost per person.

Disney Per Person Food & Beverage Costs

  • Brunch: $140 per person
  • Lunch: $180 per person
  • Dinner: $240 per person

In addition to these costs, service fees (26%) and sales tax (6.5%) apply, adding an extra cost that isn’t included in the base per-person pricing – those fees also aren’t included in the minimum required spend. Since food & beverage can be a large portion of the required minimum spend, the guest count and meal choices significantly affect your overall cost.

Magic Kingdom, Cinderella Castle Wedding Cost Breakdown

If you had 150 guests (the venue can accommodate up to 300) you would reach $76,000 – leaving $24,000 to be fulfilled by all of Disney’s other various services. Given that you would want a photographer, stunning florals, transportation (like Cinderella’s carriage!), it wouldn’t be too difficult to reach the minimum spend with 150 guests. Keep in mind that if you decrease the guest count, you could have more luxe florals and fun extras to reach the minimum, or you could have more guests and scale back on the guest count.

Let’s price out some of the other Disney Services to see how easy it would be to stay around $100,000.

The Cost of Other Disney Wedding Services

Using Disney’s wedding cost guidelines, here are some of the thing you would spend money on:

Photography:

$3,727 (base price + tax) for up to 4 hours of coverage, but no portrait session.

OR

$10,117 ($9,500 base + 6.5% sales tax) for up to 8 hours of coverage and to have a portrait session where you can choose any theme park (which means portraits in front of Cinderella Castle). This is the cheapest photo package that will allow you to have portraits – if you’re having a Disney Wedding, you likely would want this. We’ll use this $10,117 figure in our estimates.

Florals:

Using Disney’s starting floral costs and Tulle’s line item functionality, here is a base level estimate for your floral costs. $6,155 is the cost for the standard florals you would want for a wedding, and is not a bare bones estimate.

Music & Entertainment:

The starting price for a DJ in the theme park will cost you $4,900 and a starting cost for a string trio will be $2,205. Let’s assume someone getting married in front of the castle would want both of these (one for the reception, one for walking down the aisle), so this would put entertainment at over $6000.

Getting Married in front of Cinderella Castle: What $100,000 Could Get You

Adding up some of the core costs of a wedding – photography, florals, entertainment – would put you at about $100,000 if you have 150 guests, before service fees (all added up using Tulle Together’s budget tracking feature!). This doesn’t account for luxury decor, transportation, your wedding attire, exclusive Disney park extras. If you want to keep your costs around $100,000, you could opt for a significantly smaller guest count and put all of that money toward extras – with 50-75 guests, you might be able to stay at the $100,000 mark. Otherwise, a wedding in front of Cinderella Castle will likely end up closer to the $150,000 – $200,000 mark – and could easily surpass it depending on what you choose to add to your wedding.

If you want to get married in front of Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom in Disney World, assume you’ll spend at least $125,000 – $150,000

As noted above, the minimum spend of $100,000 can be fulfilled with Disney services. But depending on the size of your wedding, you could easily surpass that minimum for even the base services. On top of that, you’ll have to cover all the expenses that aren’t part of Disney services, from stationery and invites to attire and more.

Ultimately, the only way to know the true cost of a Disney wedding is to reach out to Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings team for a personalized estimate based on your vision, date, and guest count – but this is a good starting point if you’re wondering how much the base costs are for this kind of wedding.
