How Much Does It Cost to Get Married at the American Museum of Natural History?

The American Museum of Natural History (AMNH) in New York City offers one of the most iconic and unforgettable settings for a wedding reception. Imagine sipping cocktails beneath the towering Barosaurus in the Theodore Roosevelt Rotunda, followed by dinner and dancing under the 94-foot blue whale in the Milstein Hall of Ocean Life. This world-renowned museum delivers a dramatic, one-of-a-kind experience for couples wanting to host a sophisticated city celebration.

That said, the AMNH is not a typical wedding venue—it doesn’t host ceremonies, has strict vendor requirements, and carries a high price tag. So what does it actually cost to get married here? The Tulle Together Wedding Pricing Transparency Project is on a mission to collect all of the pricing PDFs for wedding venues across the country. All of the PDFs in our database – 2,200 total and more than 400 in New York – are contributed by other couples planning their weddings. That means we can walk through the venue costs for you – without you having to email them. Below, we’ve broken down everything in the pricing PDF to help you figure out whether the American Museum of Natural History fits your budget and your vision.

This estimate factors in a range of typical wedding expenses beyond the venue & catering itself, helping couples get a realistic view of what their wedding might actually cost before making any commitments. Of course, someone could spend more or less than this – but it’s an average estimate for what that total wedding cost could look like.
